Fabio's Seduction Attempt

This was my experience at an Irish Pub in LA. Guys really need to learn how to take a hint. Seriously.

And I present to you, in all his glory, the Fabio look-alike who hit on me relentlessly on Hollywood Blvd at 2am. Incase you were wondering, Hollywood is really dead and boring at this hour. I much prefer Toronto for nightlife.

Cheeky Xmas Boy Pinup!

Happy Festivus, peoples!

So I did this drawing as an answer to Bill Presing's Pinup Contest. The prize is his illustration of an exasperated boxer girl taking a break from the fight! How cool is that?? I figured, being a girl, it would be fun to do a man pinup for the contest. After all, men can be cute too!

By the way, I'm watching the "Johnny Cash Christmas Special" on Bravo! Also, I got my tree today and my hands are covered with sap. This made my pencil crayons keep sticking to me as I finished the illustration.

Doesn't this face just SCREAM CHRISTMAS???

PS: Next time I'll post that drawing I promised before. I need to run out and get some marker refills!

Glimpse Into the Future!

As I have suddenly found myself pressed for time, I'm putting the completion of this picture on hold 'till next week! So I thought I'd share a bit of the rough drawing for you all.

Gonna have to make this post short and sweet! I've got a backlog of a bunch of illustrations that I want to do, I've just got to get down to the store to buy marker refills! Agh!

Anyhow, to fatten up this blog post, here are some assorted profile faces!

This post was created in approximately eighty seconds! *slams "enter" key* DONE AND DONE!

Eaton Centre Sketch

Now is a particularly fun time to be heading down to the Eaton Centre for drawing. All the shoppers are ramping up for Christmas, so there is a lot of activity in the malls. Plus the weather is getting cold, so it's nice to stay indoors to draw.

The kid was whining all throughout the photo session. Mom seemed okay with it. Santa was not impressed.

Lots of girls from Etobicoke and Oakville like to come to the Eaton Centre. For those not from Toronto, that is a very long distance to travel just to peruse the mediocre offerings of Hollister and Coach. Kids these days...

The mall is comprised of three levels, which are all exposed down the centre. So you can draw people from every angle. Also, it's packed so nobody even notices what you're doing. (Except for the woman on the bottom right.)

This business man is very angry. The mall is close to lots of office towers, so you see a lot of angry business men sipping Starbucks and yamerring on their Blackberries. Gotta love it!

Oh ya, and I did an interview for WhoHub about Illustration. Check it out!
