Doodles and Noodles

Did up a little drawing of Henry Selick for fun. I took a photo of his presentation at OIAF and really liked how his face looks in profile. But this is my favorite photo of the set I did. Did you know that he's a huge fan of the NFB? Cool!

And here I'll throw in another marker life drawing lady for good measure. Dunno how I feel about it, but what the heck. I'll throw it in anyway.

More cartoony stuff to come. I don't imagine that this life drawing stuff excites people too much.

Miscellaneous Friday Treats

Did a bit of a marker experiment while in a life drawing session. The pose was 20 minutes, but I continued finishing it off once I got home.

Also, I am trying to live up to my NYE promise of doing more comics. I love comics, but for some reason I don't do them much. Here is my opinion about CTV's coverage of the Olympics!

This is just the line version. To see the lovely B&W version with comic halftone filters, be sure to visit my other blog: Tabitha Draws Comics

Tavi!

I'm a Tavi fan! She's so strange/amazing!

If I were 13 again, I would want to dress like Tavi. She's a human cartoon character.

How amazing is this kid?? Seriously!
JUST LOOK AT THAT BOW! SO AMAZING!

Experiments With Marker!

I recently picked up Henry Yan's Figure Drawing book from The Labyrinth Bookstore. Lately I've been using it as reference for practicing marker technique. I'm an advocate for USING my art books, as opposed to keeping them in pristine condition for display on a bookshelf.

So anyway, for these drawings I picked one of Henry's drawings and re-drew it in marker. It's good practice because his lights/darks are very defined.

Oh ya and don't forget MY COMIC BLOG! I'm gonna try to update it more.
