Municipal Pol-eh-tikz

At less than three weeks away, me and my Toronto brethren are more than a little anxious about the upcoming municipal election. Being the civic-minded citizen that I am, I have already attended 3 major debates and canvassed with my favorite city councillor since arriving home from Paris. All debates have had their fair share of political spin, but what it is exceedingly frustrating when a candidate flat out refuses to answer the question asked. For many, this race has become an embarrassment where voters are underwhelmed with the lack of choice. On the bright side, the debates have given an opportunity for "Toronto Mayoral Candidate Life Drawing", to which I can 100% guarantee you that I am the only participant.

On with the drawings!

Here are a couple of spectators that I drew while waiting for the bickering to begin.

And this fellow was a member of the Ford camp. He was not too pleased with Rob's performance, I'd imagine. Unless he's completely nuts.

Matt Galloway from CBC Radio One hosted a lively and telling debate.

For all those who may feel discouraged by this election, I still urge you to suck it up and vote on October 25th. Do a little bit of homework. Be glad that we live in a country where we're given that option.
