A Hint of Summer

Summer breeze makes me
wanna draw LOTS!

During last week's extraordinary summer-like weather I biked over to Trinity Bellwoods Park where I sat on a bench and sketched some hipsters for a while.

This girl was sprawled on the grass with a book but seemed to have trouble concentrating on her reading.

From what I saw, she spent more time pouring over text messages than with her novel. Maybe it wasn't very good?

Another girl found a quiet spot under a maple tree to write in her notepad...

Until a pack of hunky boys gathered on the opposite side of the tree for a game of hacky sack. Hawt!

A cyclist took a break to check his messages. Sometimes it feels like that's all I draw, people poking around on their iPhones.

Two punk girls discuss wedding plans for the summer.

Besties on a bench! These two were cute!

The conversation got serious when it came time to deliberate wedding cake options.

Hipsters and weed go together like chocolate and bacon. Yum!
